So the boy Ramsey has made his decision and opted for the Red of Arsenal rather than Manchester or the blue of Everton. Bit of a strange one if you ask me. It must be hard deciding your future at such a young age. He has not even been a paid professional footballer a year. I seen his interview with BBC recently and he seemed quite relaxed about the whole thing, not that he was giving much away. He simply stated he was a Cardiff player until he was told otherwise and was quite happy with his current situation. If only some of his peers could show the same attitude.
Its been a strange week for the kid. Manchester United had basically told the world he was their boy when they announced they were delighted they had agreed a fee with Cardiff and all that was left to do was for Ramsey to sign on the dotted line. He was shown around the training ground and stadium by United captain Gary Neville as Sir Alex was away on holiday. Why he got the chance to walk away from the club that day without signing on the dotted line is a mystery. Perhaps he wasn't impressed that Sir Alex wasn't there personally to meet him. They had a chat on the phone apparently. The next day Arsenal flew him out to Switzerland to meet Arsene Wenger. Maybe this turned his head. You can just imagine being a 17 year old being flown out to Switzerland while sitting in first class beside the clubs chief execeutive to have a chat with one of the most respected coaches in world football. Good luck to the kid anyway, there is space in the Arsenal midfield at the moment but whether Arsene will trust Ramsey at that age as he did Fabregras time will tell.
